World leading economist Professor Erik Stam met with 30+ economic development professionals as part of an Atlantic Futures event in Enniskillen Castle

Atlantic Futures were delighted to welcome leading economist Professor Erik Stam to Ireland recently to discuss the importance of entrepreneurial ecosystems in regional development.

Erik, who is one of the external partners on Research Stream 1 - 'Comparing entrepreneurial ecosystems in rural regions with small cities and towns' delivered the session in collaboration with RS1 lead researcher, Prof. Jonathan Levie.   The audience consisted of a number of key regional development agencies, city and county councils, business professionals and academics, from across the Island, and looked closely at the importance of data in helping to develop thriving business eco systems within a particular region.

It was a fantastic session, with great feedback and we'd like to thank alll of the organisations who came and took part in what we hope is the first of many of it's kind as we work towards developing a data set which can help deliver much needed progress.
